The rules for using GolfTogether

Welcome to GolfTogether

By creating an account or using the GolfTogether app ("we," "us," or "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

What GolfTogether is

GolfTogether is a community app that helps golfers find and join local tee times, form groups, chat, share posts ("Moments"), join clubs, track scores, and rate playing partners. We provide the platform to connect — we are not a party to any round or agreement you arrange through the app.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful information when setting up your profile.
• Keep your password confidential and not share your account.
• Be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter these Terms.
• Promptly report any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use GolfTogether to:

• Harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against anyone.
• Post sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise inappropriate content.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or handicap.
• Spam, scam, solicit, or promote illegal activity.
• Share another person's private information ("doxxing").
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
• Use the app for any commercial golf-booking or resale business without our permission.

We use automated profanity filtering and image scanning, and we may review, hide, or remove content that violates these rules. Repeated or serious violations can result in a ban from the community.

Groups, tee times & hosting

When you post a round, you become its host. Hosts approve or decline join requests and are expected to enter scores after the round so members can rate one another. GolfTogether helps you find players, but you are solely responsible for showing up, coordinating logistics, and conducting yourself on the course.

Ratings & community trust

After a round, players may rate one another 1–5 stars. Ratings are subjective opinions of other users, not statements of fact by GolfTogether. You may not retaliate against someone for a rating, and abusive or retaliatory behavior may result in removal from the community.

Content you post

You retain ownership of content you post (profile photos, Moments, captions, messages, scores). By posting it, you grant GolfTogether a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and operate the Service with that content. You confirm you have the rights to post it and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.

Subscriptions & fees

The core Service is free. If we introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium tiers, they will be clearly labeled and billed in advance. Unless required by law, paid fees are non-refundable. You can cancel a subscription at any time and it will end at the close of the current billing period.

Termination

You can deactivate your account anytime from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, behave unlawfully, or create risk or legal exposure for the community. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee that every posted round will fill, that players will show up, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use GolfTogether at your own risk. Any interaction with other users — on or off the course — is between you and them.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GolfTogether and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or dispute arising out of your use of the Service or interactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (typically $0 for the free Service).

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in California, to the extent permitted by law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
